http://www.PreOp.comPatient ED @ 617-379-1582 INFOYour doctor has recommended that you undergo hand surgery to treat carpal tunnel syndrome. But what exactly is carpal tunnel syndrome? The median nerve, which carries sensation to the thumb and first three fingers, passes through a natural passageway in the wrist. This opening - called the carpal tunnel is formed by arch-shaped wrist bones and a connecting ligament.Various conditions, such as pregnancy, injury, arthritis and changes in the tendons caused by repetitive motion can crowd the already narrow tunnel, putting pressure on the nerve. This added pressure can cause a tingling sensation in the fingers and the thumb and may even lead to numbness, pain and restricted movement. This combination of symptoms is called the carpal tunnel syndrome.

I used to have arthritis pain all throughout my body, had pain for years and years, not until a friend of mine told me about an all natural, little known protein, did my pain go away. Cellimmunitydotcom

Hey guys, I think I have CTS in my pinky finger, because there is a constant tingling sensation in it, and it's been going on for the last 5 days. It's not painful though, but I'm just wondering what to do.

I've just been diagnosed with CT and the pain is unbearable at times. Icing my hand and wrist helps a bit. I want to know from others who have CT what works for them, and how they go about doing daily tasks because even writing, showering, and sleeping are hard at this point.

Carpal Tunnel stems from the neck...why does no one observe this? Start some relatxation techniques...strech out your shoulders, neck, AND forearms.

I've had it for 2 years now...don't have money to get sugary(no insure) I do see an acupuncturist, and he recommend not eating Red meat, and eating Fish/shellfish. The omega3 really helps alot! most of the time the pain is gone. Its only when I eat red meat does the pain come back FYI he has a PHD, and a Masters.
